Captian Jeremy Heimes

Being born and raised in the sunshine state of Florida. I was always intrigued by the outdoors. Fishing or Hunting was a favorite pastime of mine. My father and grandfathers were either into racing cars or fishing & hunting, and needless to say mine was fishing.

From the time I was two and could hold a cane pole my grandmother had me on their dock fishing in their stocked pond, my grandfather said I hair lipped every fish in the pond at least once. Bread balls were the bait of choice for a two year old, I once ran out of bread and was determined to fish so I used a brown paper bag and yes this is a true story I caught a 1 lb. bass, my grandmother can testify.

I have been fishing since I was old enough to hold a fishing pole. I was born into a fishing family. My family have been commercial fishermen for generations and I am very proud of that.

I have been fishing all my life, it is my passion. I also commercial fished for about 8 years with my dad until I graduated high school. I mainly fish local waters as I know the area very well, although I am in the process of expanding the range of my travels for fishing.

I am also a full-time student and chose Environmental Studies and Marine Science for my career path because those are the things I truly care about. I feel like I can make a difference, especially coming from both a commercial and recreational fishing background.

Dee Kaminski
Dee Kaminski, Reel Kayak Fishing Charters

Dee's passion for fishing started over 40 years ago while growing up in the Midwest. When most young girls were playing with Barbies and tea sets, she was fishing the fresh waters of Canada, Michigan and Wisconsin for walleye, northern pike, muskey, and bass with her parents.

The passion continued after friends introduced her to the east coast of Florida where she tried her hand at salt water fishing. After moving to Melbourne Beach Florida and as her knowledge of the personalities and habitats of the different fish species grew, she decided she wanted to get up close and personal. The best way to do this was to purchase a kayak, the missing link necessary to approach large fish in stealth mode.

Sharing her expertise and abilities with others seemed to be the natural progression in her fishing success story, so Dee began guiding full time in the waters from the Northern Indian and Banana River Lagoons down to Vero Beach.

Her favorite fish species to target are Snook, Redfish, Speckled Sea Trout, Flounder and Black Drum using light tackle with both live and artificial baits.

Jonathan 'Stump' Hamilton
Jonathan Hamilton

My name is Jonathan Hamilton (aka Stump). I am a USCG Licensed and insured in-shore fishing guide. I've had the privilege of growing up fishing the Nature Coast (Homosassa and Crystal River area).

Even before I had a driver’s license I was running a custom aluminum boat in the back country of Ozella and surrounding waters chasing Red Fish and Trout. At the age of 16 my brother and I got our first skiff and I never looked back. I am also an avid duck, turkey and deer hunter. I have a strong passion for the outdoors and sharing it with others.

After becoming a Firefighter for the City of Tampa I decided to get my Captains License. With my alternate schedule with the fire department, it allows me to be on the water frequently. I work 1 day on and then have 2 days off. This is good for you because that allows me to stay on fish.

I currently reside in Brooksville, FL which allows me to fish the waters from New Port Richey to Crystal River. Although I do spend most of my time fishing Homosassa and Crystal River. If you have never experienced the pristine waters of the Nature Coast you really should. It's one of the last places in Florida that has not been effected by development. It is a beautiful place and a great fishing estuary.

I truly enjoy sharing what I have been blessed with, with others! I am also co-owner of Florida Tail Feathers LLC which is a growing Florida based fishing and hunting retail company. There you can purchase many great outdoor products.

Like many of us I have my father to thank for my love of fishing. I have been fishing since I can remember. Whether it was going out in his offshore boat looking for kings, fishing for flounder at the end of the street, or bass fishing in the middle of the winter at 5 a.m. with snow on the ground...we did it all.

As a Wilmington native, I have been fishing in the Cape Fear region for over 20 years. I also have fished extensively out of Pine Island Florida, Boca Grande, Islamorada, the Bahamas and the Everglades.

I can accommodate any angler. Whether you are experienced or have never seen coastal waters before, I will show you many of my techniques including, knot tying, scoping out fishing ledges, lure selection, and many other techniques that you will quite possibly find useful for the rest of your fishing days. My goal is to to have you leave a better angler than when you showed up!

Captain Matt Wirt holds North Carolina Citations in: Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Pompano, King Mackerel, Speckled Trout, Black Sea Bass, Amberjack, Barracuda, and Sharks.
